Snug Harbor Property Owners Association (SHPOA) is a small, water-oriented, deed-restricted community on the northern shore of the Albemarle Sound.  Snug Harbor has direct access to both the Yeopim River and Yeopim Creek, and is within minutes of historic Hertford, NC, Edenton, NC, and Elizabeth City, NC.  The Outer Banks and the Norfolk metropolitan area can easily be visited with a two hour drive.

Snug Harbor's community property consists of a clubhouse, maintenance building, pool, tennis courts, basketball court, baseball/softball diamond and general recreation area on one campus.  Snug Harbor also owns and maintains two parks and four boat ramps.  The larger park has a beautiful view of Albermarle Sound and has a playground set for youngsters and a swimming area for everyone.

As provided by the covenants, SHPOA provides facilities for its members and for both formally organized and ad hoc groups.  The Snug Harbor Civic League sponsors community pot luck dinners, another active group provides a Community Watch, there are several exercise groups, a line dancing group....  Visit the links listed on our site for other activities of interest.
